Garmin StreetPilot C530

Coming soon to the UK is the Garmin StreetPilot C530 - the mid-priced system from the new Garmn StreePilot C500 satellite navigation range.

The StreetPilot C530 is one of the new systems forming part of the new C500 range from Garmin which will be launched soon in the UK.

It comes ready to use straight out of the box, with all maps and software pre-loaded.

Controlling the system is straightforward using the clear colour touch-screen controls. The menu's are easy to use and familiarisation is quick to come.

The screen is an automotive-grade non-reflective TFT LCD 2.8 inches wide and 2.1 inches high.

The unit has a built-in GPS receiver ensuring the unit is accurate and picking up the satellite signals occurs quickly.

A new security feature of the Garmin StreetPilot C530 is the Garmin Lock - this requires the entry of a 4 figure PIN number to activate the unit. The unit can also be activated by taking it to a pre-determined location.

Traffic information is available via the optional FM TMC traffic receiver. This optional system notifies the user if road congestion, accidents, road works and weather related delays that might impede the user's journey.

The unit is powered using the integral battery with a battery life of up to 8 hours, depending on usage and conditions.
