Magellan RoadMate 800

The RoadMate 800 from Magellan is a top-of-the-range satellite navigation system. Coming in around the £500 mark this is a very comprehensive, professional system.

The unit is controlled by a combination of touch-screen and button interfaces. The unit comes with a windscreen mount, cigarette lighter adapter, AC power adapter and a USB cable for connecting to a personal computer.

The unit also has a built in music player - with the ability to play both .MP3 and .WMA files which can be stored on the 4.5GB of internal memory. Additional memory can be inserted into the unit using SD and MMC cards.

The large 3.5 inch screen can also be used as a photoviewer - simply view them on the screen or transfer them to the units internal memory from SD/MMC cards - ideal for storing large numbers of pictures whilst away from home.

Multi-Destination Route Optimisation allows the user to enter a number of different destinations and the unit will then calculate the optimum order in which to visit each destination - ideal for sales professionals and delivery drivers/couriers alike.

The high resolution TFT LCD screen is crisp and bright and the graphics are clear and easy to read. The brightness automatically changes with changing light conditions.

There is no need to download mapping information from your PC - mapping information is provided by NAVTEQ and all maps come pre-loaded for the following European countries:
