Michelin X930

The new Michelin X930 is a satnav system from ViaMichelin.

The ViaMichelin X930 is ready to use straight out of the box - simply plug in the power cable, attach the car mounting bracket and away you go. The system is compact, light and easy to use with it's touch-screen menu system and easy-to-access function keys.

The X930 has an in-built GPS receiver (SIRF Star III technology) so no external antenna should be required. GPS receiver technology is constantly improving, resulting in systems obtaining more accurate satellite fixes quicker.

The X930 has a 3.5 inch colour LCD screen for optimum picture quality as well as anti-glare for use in bright sunlight. The unit has an internal Lithium Ion battery (with an estimated battery life of 5 hours - this will vary depending on the type of use and other conditions).

In common with the other ViaMichelin system - the Michelin X950-T - the X930 contains information on tourist locations from the Michelin Green Guide and the Michelin Guide 2006. This is an excellent feature as it makes the system not just a satnav system but a tourist information guide and hotel and restaurant guide all in one.

Thousands of Points of Interest (POI's) are also included in addition to the information taken from the Michelin Green Guide.

The X930 is of robust construction yet is flexible enough to be transferred from one car to another so the whole family can benefit from sharing the system.

The "history" function saves the last 10 destinations entered allowing the user to quickly navigate to places they visit on a regular basis.

The system comes ready to use straight out of the box, together with UK maps pre-loaded on an SD memory card, a car mounting bracket, mains and cigarette lighter power adapters, ViaMichelin navigation on CD-Rom and a USB cable for connecting the unit to a personal computer.

If the X930 is not in stock - why not consider the X950-T - a more comprehensive system?
