Michelin X950-T

The Michelin X950-T is a fantastic new satnav system released for the summer of 2006. It comes complete with UK maps preloaded on an SD card - this simply slots into the system and the system is ready to use straight out of the box - the Michelin Plug and Drive solution.

A car mounting bracket, a USB adapter for linking to your PC and car and mains adapters come as part of the kit.

The unit can also be powered by its internal battery with an estimated life of 3 hours between charges. This allows the system to be taken from one vehicle to another without the need to move wires.

The X950-T has an integrated GPS receiver so there is no real need for an external aerial.

The system is controlled using four buttons on the front of the unit as well as the intuitive touch-screen controls.

Voice-guidance is given as you progress on your journey and the language can be changed at the touch of a few buttons.

The system is light (weighing less than 140g), stylish and compact and can easily be switched between vehicles.

The key benefit of the X950-T is the integrated traffic management information. Real time updates of traffic problems, roadworks, accidents etc are broadcast to the unit via RDS - the same system used to transmit information to in-car stereo's. The great thing about this is that there are NO FEES for this information.

Other systems require a monthly fee to be paid for this information but the Michelin X950-T comes with this benefit all included in the price you pay!

Other systems provide information on Points of Interest - nearest hospital, hotel, cash machine etc. The Michelin X950-T contains information from both the Michelin Guide 2006 for hotels and restaurants and the Michelin Green Guide for tourist information.
