Navman N20

New for Autumn 2006 comes the Navman N20. The sleek, rugged case houses a comprehensive satellite navigation system. In-common with other Navman systems, the Navman N20 can be used straight out of the box.

The Navman N20 comes pre-installed with chosen regional mapping. European street level mapping is available on CD (Note: - check the contents of the system on the merchants website prior to purchase to ensure that the level of mapping you require is included - Ed.)

Navman have taken satellite navigation to a new level recently and have included their NavPix techology in the Navman N20. Instead of having to remember addresses and destinations, Navman felt it would be easier to remember favourite destinations by using pictures!

Any picture can be geo-tagged with it's location and the user can navigate to this destination by choosing the picture of their choice. (Note - the N20 does not allow you to take pictures - for this please see the iCN 720 or the iCN 750)

Pictures of favourite destinations can be shared and downloaded from the Navman website here. Want to visit the Houses of Parliament? - why not check to see if someone else has visited it already and submitted their picture to the Navman website.

In common with the Navman F20 - the Navman N20 comes with "Fuel" and "Park" buttons on the front of the case - allowing the user to quickly and easily locate petrol and car-parking close to their current location.

Locating destinations is simple - according to the Navman website the N20 has postcode search and Back-on-Track capabilities - if the driver should accidentally deviate from the pre-planned route the Navman N20 will automatically calculate a new route based on present position - this feature is partcularly handy when the driver comes across unknown problems - e.g blocked road - simply turn off onto another road and the system will calculate a new route based on the new position without the need for user intervention.

The optional T1 Traffic pack is also available - allowing the system to receive real-time traffic information and thereby ensuring a quicker, hassle-free route can be planned.

The Navman N20 comes with an internal Li-Ion rechargable battery which Navman claims can give upto 5 hours usage, dependent on ambient operating conditions.

A pre-installed safety camera database gives even more funtionality to the Navman N20 - knowing the location of dangerous driving areas can only aid safer driving.

The Navman N20 is powered by SiRFstarIII™ Generation 2 technology using SmartST 2005 SE navigation software and Tele Atlas 2006 mapping data.
