Navman iCN 650

The iCN 650 from Navman is a comprehensive, top-of-the-range satellite navigation unit.

This unit normally comes with full street-level mapping of UK and Europe and a CD with these maps is included in the box. The unit is housed in a rugged aluminimum casing to protect the unit from damage during normal day-to-day use.

Also included is a PC data cable, windscreen mount, cigarette power adapter, carry case, mains adapter, remote control and a user guide.

The unit is powered by Navman's proven SmartST navigation software with street-level mapping for 16 European countries. The unit comes ready to use straight out of the box - the ultimate in "drive-away" convenience. No need to install software or mapping data.

The unit has a built-in 2GB hard drive for storing the maps of 16 countries, over a million Points of Interest (POI's) as well as user-defined POI's and Favourite destinations. The Points of Interest (POI) database contains details for such locations as petrol station, hotels, hospitals, post offices, caash machines etc. Choosing a category allows the user to locate the nearest amenity they require and the Navman iCN650 will quickly calculate the best route to get to it. No need to worry any longer about running short on fuel or needing to find a cashpoint!

The unit comes with a bright, clear colour screen. The unit is controlled using the buttons on the unit or the supplied remote control - ideal for passengers to use whilst the driver is driving safely. A flip-up antenna is used in conjunction with the internal GPS receiver to receive satellite signals.

Voice-guided, turn by turn directions are given by the Navman iCN650 and the internal speaker is loud and clear.

Dynamic routing is also included - should you miss a turn then the unit will automatically recalculate a new, optimised route to get you to your original destination.

It is also possible to exclude part of a route - such as a motorway or road where you know there may be roadworks or other delays - the unit will then calculate the optimum route to get you to your destination avoiding these roads. This is ideal in situations where the driver is aware that a road or part of a route is congested due to roadworks, a traffic accident or other hold-up.

Programming the unit is simple, either enter the town, road, address or alternatively search for destinations using the 5-digit postcode method.
