For the first time it is possible to navigate by pictures! The Navman iCN750 allows you to identify your destinations as pictures, rather than just names.

The system comes with a built-in 4GB hard-drive on which the geo-tagged pictures (known as NavPix) can be stored. A separate SD/MMC expansion slot is also built into the unit.

The iCN750 can be used to take the pictures as well! A 1.3 megapixel camera is part of the unit. Additional geo-tagged pictures can also be imported by connecting the iCN750 to a PC using a USB cable.

The 4-inch wide screen allows the pictures to be viewed in crisp, clear colour. Street-level maps of Europe are included with the unit.

The iCN750 comes with "Fuel" and "Park" buttons as standard. These allow the user to quickly locate nearby car parking and fuel. A "Home" button is also built-in.

The optional T1 Traffic Pack allows for real-time motoring and traffic information updates to be received by the 750 in the UK, France and Germany. Once the T1 unit has been purchased no additional subscription payments have to be made.

Entering destinations is straight-forward - full UK postcodes can be entered - as well as streets and towns. The software allows the user to plan for multiple destinations.

If the user should stray off course then the Back-on-Track will automatically calculate a new optimum route.

A Points of Interest (POI) database with thousands of entries is included and additional POI's can be added by linking the iCN750 to a PC.

The keypad is backlit and the unit can be operated in an anti-glare night mode.

The unit comes with a built-in battery allowing the unit to be easily transferred between vehicles for ultimate flexibility. Indicative battery life is between 2 and 4 hours depending on usage. In-car and mains adapters are also included in the pack allowing the unit to be charged in car, home or office.

Voice-guided instructions take the driver to their destination and the route can be viewed in the following modes:

Turn-by-Turn
3D Moving map
2D mini map
Next manoeuvre

Tele Atlas map data is used in conjunction with SmartST 2006 for iCN 700 navigation software.

This is a smart, comprehensive satellite navigation system which adds a new twist to in-car navigation using photo's of your favourite destinations as well as an in-built camera and represents excellent value for money.
