The TomTom offers door-to-door navigation across most of western Europe This fantastic unit comes with not just satellite navigation capabilities but also the Michelin Guide and the Michelin Green Guide information built-in to the software package. Providing information on hotels and restaurants as well as tourist information. Live traffic information is also built in to the X950-T at no additional cost and with no ongoing licence fees!
£300 - £400The Michelin X950-T is new for 2006 and comes with the Michelin Guide and Michelin Green Guide data built in to the satnav unit, providing information on hotels and restaurants as well as other tourist information. Live traffic information is also included on the Michelin at no additional cost and without any on-going licence fee! Two new-comers for the summer season 2006 are the TomTom GO 710 and the TomTom Go 910. The 710 has street-level mapping of the UK and Western Europe, whilst the 910 has street-level mapping of Uk/Western Europe/USA/Canada!! The 910 also comes with a 20GB hard-drive for storing maps and data and can also act as an MP3 player through it's built-in speaker system. Also new for 2006 from Navman come the iCN 720 and iCN 750. Both systems have 1.3 megapixel camera's built in and the iCN 750 comes with a 4GB hard-drive. The optional T1 Traffic Module is also available.

Both the Garmin StreetPilot 2610 and the Garmin Quest 2 offer multiple-stop route optimisation - enter a number of different destinations and these system will calculate the best order in which to make those stops - ideal for business people, couriers and sales people. The Garmin StreetPilot 7500 is primarily designed for lorries, coaches and MPV's. It comes with a massive 7-inch screen and also offers multiple destination route optimisation - a fanastic piece of kit with a price tag to match!
