The TomTom GO 520 is a mid-range satellite navigation system.

Satellite navigation systems are increasingly becoming more sophisticated in what they can achieve. Today's satnav systems are a million miles away from their older relatives of yesteryear!

The new Go 520 comes in a slim and stylich casing which makes it easy to carry and store when not in use. The system is easy to operate using TomTom's now famous touch-screen menu system.

Not only does the GO 520 come with a touch-screen menu as you would expect but it is also now possible to input destinations by voice! Simply state the destination you wish to visit and the TomTom GO 520 will quickly locate and navigate you to your chosen destination.

Finding locations is also easier - there are numerous input methods in addition to voice. You can choose a city centre, a favourite destination or locate a place using the full postal code.

No installation is needed - the new TomTom GO 520 is ready to go straight out of the box - no need to connect it to a PC to install maps or software - just plug and go.

The system can be powered direct from the in-car cigarette lighter or hard-wired if need be. The GO 520 comes witha built-in lithium-polymer battery making it the ideal travelling companion as it can quickly and easily be transferred between vehicles or even used on foot.

Learning to use the GO 520 is simple and you will be navigating with it no time. The system comes with a built-in range of comprehensive tutorials to help you master the system in your hands.

The GO 520 has a bright, crystal-clear 4.3-inch touch-screen The screen has a built-in light sensor for optimal brightness and the anti-glare coating helps to ensure the screen is still visible in the brightest of conditions.

"Text to Speech" is a great feature whereby the system can tell you which road to turn into - "turn left into high street" - this ensures a safer journey as the user is not constantly having to look at the screen to work out which direction to make the next manouevre.

Real-time traffic information can really enhance the quality of your journey and by coupling the GO 520 with the TMC Traffic Information Receiver. The live traffic information will allow the vehicle to be quickly re-routed around the congested road ahead.

The TomTom GO 520 comes with comprehensive mapping data pre-installed allowing for door-to-door navigation across the whole of your chosen region. In the UK the Go 520 comes with mapping data for the United Kingdom and Ireland.
