TomTom GO 720

New from TomTom comes the GO 720. The GO 720 is a smart and stylish satnav system. It builds on all the main features of the other TomTom systems.

Entering destinations has never been simpler - all the favourites are here - full address and full postcode lookup. It is also possible to simply enter a town or sity and the TomTom GO 720 will navigate you there quickly and effortlessly.

The new GO 720 is simple to operate and all menu's and features are only a few taps away using the touch-screen menu system.

The GO 720 comes with 2GB of internal flash storage and an SD card slot is also built into the case for taking SD and MMC memory cards (available separately).

The unit comes with a Li-Ion rechargable battery installed and is ready to use straight out of the box. The GO 720 comes with a large 4.3-inch widescreen and an anti-glare coating ensures the system can still be used even during bright sunlight.

Modern satnav systems come with state-of-the-art satnav receivers and the GO 720 is quick to acquire and hold satellite signals enabling the user to get going as soon as possible. Text-to-speech functionality is now included, which allows the GO 720 to actually speak road names. This makes for a safer journey as it allows the driver to concentrate on the road ahead and not have to keep looking at the satnav screen to work out which road to turn into.

The TomTom GO 720 comes pre-installed with mapping data for most of Western Europe:-

Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, The Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Spain (+ Canary Islands), Sweden, Switzerland and Vatican City.

When coupled with a bluetooth mobile, the TomTom GO 720 can also allow for safer hands-free use of your mobile phone when driving. The GO 720 can be programmed to automatically answer calls when they arrive.

The TomTom GO 720 comes with the TomTom HOME software included within the box. This software allows the GO 720 to be connected to a PC via the USB cable also supplied. The TomTom HOME software allows map updates to be installed, downloading of additional POI's (points of interest), sharing content with others, easy route planning in advance as well as many other features.

TomTom MAP SHARE allows you to alter and share mapping information and because TomTom has the most users in the UK, the information is upto date.

The TomTom GO 720 is also enabled to use the TomTom PLUS services. These are subscription services and more details can be found on the TomTom website.

TomTom PLUS services can really enhance the user's driving experience. Real-time weather and traffic information can be received by your TomTom GO 720. The traffic information such as road jams ahead are relayed to the GO 720 using a bluetooth-enabled mobile phone (not included).
